Monday I was at a local wrecking yard, saw an aluminum super six manifold in an 82 PU truck (no carb, linkage). Had to pick up my kid, so I left, thinking I would go back later and get it. I go back on Friday, couldn't find the truck, so I asked the owner if he removed some vehicles. I guess on Thurs some cars were hauled off to get flattened . Ouch, I say.

So I'm talking to some guy (on Fri) in the wrecking yard, telling him what happened, and he says, Oh, I've got the whole setup (carb, kickdown linkage, etc.). He builds hot rods and has no interest in 6 bangers. I will be picking it up this week. I guess sometimes you just get lucky.
