Has there been any changes in valve angles, depending of the year of the engine? |

Then when I got a head with 2 exhaustvalves that got 50 degr. Somebody have done a bad valvejob. The rest is 45 degr. |

Yep, sounds like someone was too far into the Aquavit when doing that valve job |

You can grind the seats and valve faces to anything you want (within reason). Some people cut the valve face at 44, and the seats at 30/45/60 where the 45 is the area being hit by the valve. Some people cut the valve face at 2 angles (back-cut) and the seat at 5 angles. It varies, depending on the builder. But for most stock applications, it's a 45 on both. A mismatched angle on the same head is a mistake. (slipped adjuster on valve machine OR more likely, a very worn 45 stone...are the 50's on one end of the head?) |

They are on cyl 3 and 4, these valves have been changed at some time, they are the "early" type with 3 (or 4) groves, all the others got 2. |

Seems like the two were done as a "fix" to the head and not a complete valve job. As long as the seat and valve face match, it'll work, but I'd say get them all re-cut to match. |
