Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone ever fabbed some shackles since it's just a piece of metal with two studs welded on it. Does it have to be very precise or is it just a coarse alignment? Another question : i'd like to order some poly bushings on summit but i just don't know which one are good : some are just plain without infos and the other models specifies : fits 2" main eye with 5/8" bolt. I've got a 5/8" bolt (when i measure it on the slick part it shows 0.620") but my main eye seems to be a bit smaller than 2" something like 1.8"...? At the rear i think i've got 3/8" bolts with a thicker non threaded part. Is it the standard? Does anyone know what to choose?! By the way, my car is a '67 Dart 170. Thanks everyone for your help! I have made a few sets of shackes out of bar stock and 1/2" bolts welded to the stock to keep things parallel Stock are 1/2" studs with 3/8" shoulder/threaded part for nuts. If you are measuring close to 2" and have a 5/8" hole, then those are the ones to order. The smaller ones are around 1.5" Lou |
