Does anyone know where specs might be found for setting gear spacing in transmissions? Or, for that matter, any trans building info? |

Do you have access to a FSM (factory service manual)? If so there should be information in there. Otherwise, what year and transmission model are you rebuilding? |

I've tried twice - in the wrong places - to get one, but as of now I'm without.I don't know any numbers. The transmission is the second 3 speed MT in my 1965 Valiant. It started slipping out of gear and I found a gear locally and installed it myself. Ever since, it has sung me a loud song when slowing in 1st gear. A few days ago I read something about needing to check some measurement before taking one apart so you could put it back together right. So now I'm wondering if I can go back and do it right. If it will help anything I'll search it for numbers. Thanks. |
