Restoring my 60 valiant wagon and the guys at the body shop ripped off a piece of the V200 chrome window runner moulding that runs the length of the windows from the top of the drivers window and curves all the way around the small half-moon window.

Besides me being heartbroken that they carelessly yanked if off (it was perfect before), is there someone here who can take a twisted piece of metal and straighten it? Or someone who knows someone who can?

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

Evan

I may be able to help. I have been straightening trim as a side line for about 20 years now. Is it stainless steel or aluminum? Is it buckled or cracked? How soon do you need it? I am booked up for about a month, and dependant on how bad it is, it may take several weeks to get it done. You can PM me if you like.

Dang, it sounds like ythe guys at the body shop owe you either (a) a new piece of trim, or (b) a bunch of money for destroying your rare trim piece! At the least they should pay to have yours repaired.
