I've seen some really nice looking 4 bbl manifolds out there. Good looking runner configurations. I wonder if anyone ever tried putting a 2 bbl on one of those - just for kicks (I mean research).

Quite doable on all the Clifford ones as they offer a two barrel mount as an option. I used to have an Offy manifold and it looked like you could remove and replace its carb plate to convert it to a two barrel manifold too.

I have an Offy that I plan to adapt to a two barrel. Really I just need to cut the clover leaf center out and make an adapter plate. I measured the distance from the flange surface of the intake (where it attaches to the head) and the carb studs and bores on a stock super six intake. It will line up just fine. I am planning a combination that seems to be in between two and four barrel and this way I can swap up to four really easy if I decide to. Besides I wanted a good aluminum intake that bolts up to the exhaust.

It has been done many times. Somewhere in all my junk I have the 2bbl adapter plate for a Clifford intake just for the 2300 Holley.

My thought was that some of the 4 bbl manifolds look laid out a lot better. (More equal runners.) Are they?

Thanks.
