The Cuda lives, again. Will have nitrous, but I dropped it back to 125hp. This motor has cast pistons. My headers are pretty much shot, but I can still get a little more use out of them. They are only 25 yrs old :roll: . Putting a few street miles on her, to break in the engine, then need to get it to Gainesville, for a test and tune. I doubt the Valiant will make the Ga race. Keep finding more things to do.

Car weight 3250 with driver. 170 slant six, stock short block, except for a Crane cam, .434 lift and 222* dur ar .050. Head is milled for 9.5 compression.

Tell us more about the engine, cylinder head in particular. Also, is the Pro on the windshield for the .400 sec Pro Tree?

The block is a totally stock std bore short block. Hand honed with a "dingleberry" hone, stock cast pistons, plain cast rings. Homemade full groove main bearings. New rod bearings, cam bearings, stock type timing set, std oil pump. Cam is one I have been running since the late '70's, 222 duration at .050 and .434 lift. Stock valve train. Cyl. head is totally stock except for approx .100 mill for 9.5 compression, and 340 valve springs w/dampers. Intake is a stock cast iron 1 bbl, modified for a 500 holley 2 bbl carb, and a nitrous fogger system. Clifford headers. Trans is a Push Button shifted 904, with a 3,000 converter, and a manual valve body. Rear is "A" body 8 3/4 with a 4.56 SG. Slicks are 6x26x15. With muffers, the car is street legal/drivable.

The "PRO" on the windshield is just a class designation. 13.99 and quicker, no electronics (foot brake). Handicap start .500 full tree.
