the "Unimatic" shifter,would there be a way to make this work with the stock 225 slant in a 70 dart that currently has column shift? If that won't work could anyone suggest an easier/cheaper way to get console shift? Keep in mind that the car will eventually have a 2bbl/super six setup, I don't know if that matters or not. Thanks, I'm a bit of a newbie to slants.

Unimatics work, but that's about it. It's the cheapest, crapppiest shifter I'm aware of. What's wrong with your current shifter? Do you actually have a console or do you just want a floor shifter?
