Post subject:  Torx size for checking rear fluid

Does anyone know the correct torx wrench size for the fluid fill/level check hole in the 7 1/4" rear? I didn't know they had torx in '63.

Should just be a 1/2" socket drive.

Yeah, that's not Torx, it's just a "double square" 8-point socket-head plug. I use a 3" length of ½" bar stock from the hardware store, clamped in a Vise-Grips.

OK. Good deal. Thanks much. Then that probably would be the same thing for the oil galley plug at the back of the engine block (wish I would've asked sooner).

Oil galley plugs are 5/16 allen head or square
