Hi guys anyone out there using erson 270º cam (Cstryker??) would be so kind to provide me with the valve event timig chart data that comes with the cam? I can't find mine! I saved it so I won't loose it and I ended up loosing it! I'm aiming for the ásshole of the mont prize! big jackpot I hope! Need IVO - IVC - EVO - EVC numbers. Thanks in advance! |

| Post subject: | valve timing...for degreeing cam |
The sheet that came with mine has: Intake opens @3 intake closes at 37 exaust closes @-5 exaust opens @45 -2 overlap .310 gross lift @ cam 220 degrees dur @.050 lift This is the chart they show to degree cam with that came with mine. The general specs chart shows: intake opens @28 intake closes @62 48deg overlap between intopen/ex close ex opens @70 ex closes @20 valve lash is set to .22 int and ex. adv. duration is 270 (of course) when ya degree yours, let nme know how much off set it needs to degree properly on yours...just curious...I am building a street motor and havent gotten that far yet. Thanks, Bill .465 lift at valve w/stock rockers |

Hey Bill thanks for the cam card! I'll have to check all parameters, but I *think* I might go with the cam installed 3 degrees advanced. why not 2 or 4? because my dyno-dreamy-desktop 2003 shows that 3º advanced is the better compromise between torque and HP (giving more importance to the torque but not wanting to have a short-of-breath engine at higer rpms) worst case scenario, if dyno is optimist and throws off-reality values, at least the simulation would be even in all cases and the 3º advanced centerline would be good for my mill |

Update: when I entered the "true" values of the timing card in the desktop dyno, the better curves are @ 0 (not retarded or advanced) the cam has already been grinded 4º advanced. |
