Well, since a V-8 makes more heat, you'll need a new radiator, which might very well solve the overheating problem with your /6 for less money. I would have the cooling system professionally flushed first, though, as it was working when new, so you know that it COULD cool adequately.

Id sooner change the radiator than the engine, silly :P but seriously now what do you have, a stocker or is it hopped up? Give some details of your problem.

Read and follow this post.

Not sure I understand your line of reasoning...how do you imagine changing to a V8 would solve your overheating problem???

I'll play Devil's advocate here and say he's talking about a V8 sized radiator.

the engine is totally stock 1bbl and the rad has been flushed and i think that it might have a cracked head.

Have you flushed the heater core? My brother's 68 Dart overheated due to a clogged heater core.
