Hi folks, Don't know if anyone has used this solution for creating custom parts, but it seems like it might be handy: http://www.emachineshop.com They even have free cad software for designing your stuff. -Mac |

There's probably a local version of that in your home town, too - it's called a job shop. The main difference is that EMachineShop has its own CAD system and their marketing targets the general public instead of businesses. They also seem to have a larger collection of machines than your average job shop, although they may just outsource a lot of those operations. If you want to find a local job shop, I'd start by looking in the Thomas Register. It's sort of an industrial Yellow Pages. There's a paper version that your local library will probably have in their reference section, or you can find them online at thomasregister.com and look for the work you need done. |
