What do you guys prefer. Hardcopy or those on CD? I'm thinking CD. Print out your pages and get those greasy. $49 at gearheadcafe |

The CD is good as long as you're on a PC like most people. The CD's aren't "mac-friendly". (At least mine's not...) VM |

Hardcopy is my first choice. I like books in general - might be a generational thing - and occasionally like to read in odd places. Yes, I read in there too. I don't like being dependent on having a computer available to access the info. I can see using CD's the way you mention, but I can copy and print pages from the original just as easily. That said, I wouldn't mind having a clear copy of the FSM on CD. |

The CDs aren't official releases, so quality is all over the map. Some of them are junk, a few of them may be OK, but I don't mess with 'em. Paper ones are easier to handle and use. |

I've got the CD and print out pages as needed. Works good, now my paper FSM is almost complete in a heavy-duty binder. Got 1966 and 1974 manuals from Detroit Iron and the image quality is quite good. Navigation is a little tricky, as the CD page numbering differs from the FSM page numbering. The only way I found to get them to run on a Mac is to download the PaperPort viewer for use on OS 9. The only problem is that my new printer is not compatible with OS 9... Steve 1966 Dodge Dart GT |

Hard copy - and I'm not sure how generational it is, as I'm 28 and grew up playing with a Commodore 64... |
