Im looking at getting my hands on a Standard Hygrade carb kit for a '73 holley 1920 are these kits specific to years or are they all the same? The problem I have now is the one kit shows specs only to 1971. I'm thinking that its just because the kit itself is pre-73? thanks |

Not sure I understand the question. You're looking at buying a new old stock carb kit made sometime in 1971? |

Its on ebay, the best the seller could say is that the spec sheet included only goes to 1971. So I was wondering wether or not this is because the kit is old (pre-73 or that its not compatable with a '71-up carb holley 1920. I dont know if there is any difference in kits based on these years. Also, do these kits contain new floats? |

Well, I would be concerned about this. gakets shrink, and those gaskets are 30+ years old. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think i would use 30 year old gaskets. |

Thats the problem I don't know if its old or not, though I doubt it. I just cant explain why It has specs only to '71 unless it isn't compatiable with a 72-'73 for whatever reason. |

Why mess with old carb kits at all? New ones are available. |
