Was making a shoping list to get parts for converting hard tranny lines to stainles wraped rubber hose with teflon liner - when I realized, the threads on radiator and tranny are 5/16" NPT, not the 1/4". I can't find any 5/16"NPT male to -6an (or any an size for that matter) anywhere.

Anyone seen these before, or am I going to have to get creative?

Fairly sure... 5/16" line, 5/16" npt. I found 5/16" npt to 5/16" 45deg flare fittings at Orchard hardware store (same as stock ones on the car). Thats a replacment (modine brand I think?) radiator so I'm fairly sure its standard for the application

I was looking, and 5/16 line wasn't with a 5/16 fitting. (forgot what size)

Anyway, check this out:

Fitting was labled 5/16" NPT x 5/16" Flare and it looked, fit and functioned as normal, direct replacment for the stock ones I took off the car. Only reason I took stock ones off was because the part where wrench grips was starting to round.

Thanks for that link! Everything in one spot, sweet.

I was going off memory. It was getting on my nerves so I just went out in the dark and pulled fitting out - turns out it was 1/8" NPT x 5/16" flare. Could of sworn the package said 5/16"NPT x 5/16" flare. Oppsy. Come to thinl of it, 5/16" NPT would be quite big.
