I was told that a 65-66 abody with ac runs the cable style gas pedal. Is this true? If so does anyone have one they want to sell?

That is correct. It's a two-piece deal, consisting of a pedal bolted to the floor, which has a nylon pad at the top rear area of the pedal itself. Then, there's a pivot and S-bar assembly that bolts to the firewall. The bottom leg of the S-bar has a sort of "thumb" or "back of spoon" shape to it, which rides on the nylon pad on the pedal. The top leg of the S-bar contains the hook hole for the end of the throttle cable. This setup is used in '65-'66 A-bodies with slant-6 and factory combo heat/aircon (not the Mopar underdash type), and in '64-'66 A-bodies with V8 engines.
