Supposed to have some decent weather tomorrow night down at 41. If I can get my trans leak fixed, we will load up and head out. I still have the 150 jets in the plate and will try them first. I went 12:001 on them at 66 a couple months ago. I have also removed the exhaust system and put on a collector extension.

If it runs well on the 150 jets, I may toss in the 160 setup too and see what happens.

Thanks guys!

I am hoping the trans leak is nothing serious. The area it's coming from looks to be the seal on the dipstick tube, but I have seen a cracked case on that side from a 'brake being used too. :(

I am getting ready to head over and get the joos tanks filled. I'll post a report in the morning, good or bad.

So......if the trans crack got big real fast (like on a 3rd gear shift) and the fluid hit the rear tires.....would you..... like..... get a real ride?

I don't know. Mike cracked one at Clay City a couple years ago and it never oiled the track. His leaked overnight though. Mine leaked when I had it on the brake in the shop.

However, if it did oil the tires in high gear, YES! it would be a real shorts filler.

Yes it can! (Flash back to 1974......375hp, H/MP 61 Falcon coupe 305" Ford six....C4 Auto.....testing with hood off......blew trans in half....oiled down the headers and the road.....blind kiss concrete barrier) The ride of my short life. Never drove the car again.

If anything wets the tires I can testify that it is a wild ride!

Well, no luck last night.

Fixed the trans. Problem was the relocated vent was against the floorpan and blocked. Got that remedied and no more trans oil spitting out of the tube.

Loaded up and headed up to 41. Got there and the pits were jammed with big toters and really high dollar cars. It was the NSCA. They were supposed to be done at 4pm, but they had rained out Friday and were running the whole show yesterday.

Oh well, we will try again next weekend, weather permitting. :D

Pack some dry ice on your intake if you can find some. I predict maybe 11.7 8)

Next trip out will be the 6th at RT66. I talked to Mike last night and told him I may put in the big nitrous jet for that. He said to throw it away. Oh yeah, like that's gonna happen.

Weather is supposedly going to break tomorrow night, and Sunday is supposed to be in the 80's. I am going down Friday night to get my junk loaded and ready to go. If the forecast is for 90 or below, I will try for the 11's one more time.
