Post subject:  bottoming out front passenger side...

Hey guys, yet again I beg your sage advice.
Since I've had my Duster, I have experienced a hard bang on the front end passenger side when I go over sharp dips or bumps. Figuring shocks were to blame, I finally replaced them all around, I also relaced upper and lower ball joints- now the ride is nicer, but the banging sound continues much to my frustration. I also seems as if it is becoming more frequent, over smaller bumps (or it could be the same and I am just paying more attention to it.) The driver side handles bumps fine, as does the rear. Is this the effect of faulty pitman arm or springs maybe? Thanks for your help!

Check for the presence of the rubber bumpers. The UCA rests on one and there is another attached to the LCA. A while back I was having the same problem, turned out that the one on the LCA was missing.

also check your strut rod bushings & upper & lca bushings if any of these are toasted it will allow for metal to metal contact & maybe a banging!! noise
