Looking at transbrakes in summit and jegs -and before I start saving the $$$ to buy one is there any other place I should check out???

Yes, check with some Mopar oriented transmission builders. Griner makes a good Torqueflite valve body and should have a trans brake.

If you don't mind one without low band apply I have a TranZact I would sell for $150. It is the type with the external can release solenoid that screws into the neutral switch hole. :shock:

I have a Griner w/low band apply in my Valiant. The only difference is that a low apply will lock at a lower staging RPM.
