i like the dutra duels setup but being in high school and on a limited budget i decided to put a set of unused but old clifford headers on my car. well that plan went south after i got headers for the earlier body style that dont fit. coulda made them fit but did not feel like putting in the work at the time.my solution? split the manifold! top- fronet piece- *note the similatries to a dutra setup? top again- the part removed- as my grandfather said when it was all done-"just like the old days" the spout is off of a 63 imperial passenger manifold |

That all looks real cool! Welding on cast iron is supposedly a special art, especially old cast iron that has had the carbon cooked out of it. . Did you do that yourself? Sam |

So, how did your Granpa weld them up? I can't tell from the pictures, are they silver soldered, welded, or what? Nice job, very clean considering it's an old manifold. |

Thanks for the tip on the welding rod. I'm in the middle of something similar and really appreciate the help. |
