Hey Folks I just got me a 20 ton Shop Press, and I pressed out some old piston pins on some spare rods from donor motors.

Question is Does it hurt the side of the piston if I am pressing against it?

Should I put a 1" socket under it as to not hurt the side of the piston when doing this?

Thanks, Greg

You can hurt them, but the mopar pistons are pretty tough though. If you wish to save the pistons make a jig out of aluminum to saddle & support the piston, they sell them but easy to make one.
