Dodge B-series vans used the same vents through 1997. Part numbers were as follows:

•L716MD5 or L716BX9 black
•L716FC5 "twilight blue"
•L716JJ9 "Dark Tundra" (probably dark tan)
•L716KM6 red 1
•L716BM6 red 2
•L716HR8 red 3
•L716EK1 "light almond" (probably light tan)
•L716LB7 "slate blue"
•L716MD5 "medium quartz" (grey)
•L716BC7 blue
•L716BT6 brown
•L716DT5 tan

Daimler, in their fine, precision German wisdom, has decided these alphanumeric trim-part numbers (which worked fine for at least four decades) are not suitable. But they haven't assigned new numbers, either. The first P/N above, for the black one, comes up as "no longer available" in the Canadian computers, but there are 103 of them in the main US parts depot! So, you have to "shop by description". Here is what I recommend you do:

Go to www.chryslerpartsdirect.com
In the "collision parts" catalogue, enter 1997 Dodge B1500 van.
Go to the "instrument panel" section.
Go to the "Ducts" subsection.
Go to "Defogger grille", and you will find that the part costs all of two dollars and change(! What does Layson charge for the privilege of never receiving them?).
Order them before they're all gone!

I'd advise you also to get two 4085078 seal, defogger grille mounting, but those've been disco'd, as it seems. Cut your own out of thin black foam.

If yours is an early car, you will probably find that the nut pattern on the bottom of the new grille is different to the original; you may have to enlarge or re-drill some holes in your dashboard, but these'll be covered up by the new grille.
