| Post subject: | 62 Valiant brake hardware |
Does anyone know of a source for a brake hardware"kit" for a 62 Valiant. If not a kit a source for the components would be useful. Also I have seen kits advertised for 63 and up. Would most of the springs from those kits fit the 62. As always thanks for your help. |

According to the parts lists I see, the 63 had self-adjusting brakes. These can be installed on the earlier design however, and make what I think is a nice upgrade. There was a discussion of this here. |

Parts are easy to find on Ebay, etc. I was able to use springs and stuff from later models. Why not consider a disk brake upgrade for the front brakes - not too hard as you can use later model Valiant stub axles calipers, etc. Best to talk more to someone in the States who has done it. I have put disk brakes on both of my Australian 1962 Valiants using later model parts. Great results and not too expensive. Send me an email if you want to discuss this further.
