Im trying to decide which one to use. I thought I was all set on Por-15 then stumbled on RustBullets web site. If half the claims they make are correct then Rust Bullit is the way to go. Does anyone have any experence with these products? How long have you used them? Whats YOUR take. Thanks Frank |

I've not tried Rustbullet, but I have used POR-15 for a number of years; overall I've been very pleased with it. My wife and I wrote an article about my 1st use of POR-15 above my head: http://www.tidewatermoparclub.com/TECH/tech5.html Since, I've found that the standard POR-15 (before the high temp version came out) did not hold up well on my exhaust system, other than the tips. Eventually I plan to pull the exhaust and sandblast it and use the new high temp POR15. |

Some time ago (years) I remember someone on moparts.com forum did a comparison of the two. He had a boat and painted one under water part with por15 and another with eastwood version - eastwood one was barely blemished while port15 one had visible rust on it. |

About 7 months ago I used POR15 on the trunk of my 64 Dart when I sold the car last month the rust visible through the POR in the trunk. I was shocked, the car had been in the garage the whole time. I was going to try something different on my Valiant. |

I used por 15 on my wifes rusty shadow roof about 10-12 months ago. Followed the instructions EXACTLY! I covered it in self etching primer from a spray can, them spray can sealer primer. Still looks like the day I did it. This car lives outside 24/7. I used some leftover por 15 on my dart and my d100 without using their prep products, as a test with no primers to cover it. Most all of it still looks fine, though some of it is fading where it gets direct sun. Even where I painted a part of my cast iron MC on the dart it still looks great (no prep at all) all around there is the typical rust, but none where the por 15 is. I have no knowlege of the other product. good luck tophat |
