Post subject:  Lokar kickdown ???

Hey I am mounting a Lockar kickdown on a TA 904 with a weber/ Carter 2 barrel carburetor my question is where do I mount the adjuster bracket? My carburetor is facing right to left with the slant six facing front to rear. Can I mount the adjuster bracket to the throttle bracket if so how do I attach the kickdown linkage to the carburetor Thanks for any help. Jim

What bracket are you using? You have a part #?

Theres no carb bracket in that kit, same kit I have - the bracket in that kit, small strip of metal bent at slight angle with two holes in it, mounts the cable to one of the bolts that attaches tail housing to main body. The tailhousing bolt attaches in one hole, the other hole is for the cable itself.

You'll have to get creative and fab something yourself for mounting it on the carb end.

The cable comes from the carb, goes straight back towards the tailshaft, does a 180 at the bracket, then goes to the trans kickdown lever.
