What is the Stock 76 Dart Sport tire size, how tall were they? Also If I wanted to put 15x7's on there what would be a good size tire that wont throw off the speedo? Thanks |

My brother's old 76 feather duster said 6.95/14. I think that related to like a 195/75/14 or so. |

a 6.95 14 was 25.3" diameter 7" width A 185 75 14 is 24.9" diameter 7.3" width. A 195 75 14 is 25.5" diameter 7.7" width. If it came with tiny 14 x 4.5" rims your stuck with 185 75 14s With 15x7 you can get 205 60 15 24.7" 8.1" 215 60 15 25.2" 8.5" 205 65 15 25.5" 8.1" 225 60 15 25.6" 8.9" |

Anyone know if a 17 inch wheel will fit the car, taking into consideration that it is all stock?(17x7 with 4in. of BS? Thanks |

4 in of backspace sounds right...... As long as the tire's diameter is around 25" and the tire width isn't too big, it should work.......... (but then the tires and wheels would be worth more than the car..........) |

Eh....it all depends on how you look at it. If the car is not for sale it is therefore priceless! Thanks for the tip! I am just making a "fun" little daily driver,so a 17x7 with a 225 or 235 should be just about right! |

If you want to put 235s on the front, make sure you have the clearance before you buy them. I am running a 225/60/15 on 15X7 rims with 4 1/8 backspace on all four. The back is fine. The front barely clears the front of the lower front fender well when the tires are turned. It has bottomed out (barely) a couple of times on really large bumps, on the outside, but not since I put on the sway bar. I have stock torsion bars and KYBs and the front is just slightly lower than stock. Of course, if you don't mind trimming a little off the front of your fender, the rest of the clearance is OK. I have a 73 Dart Swinger.

I think with the 17's I can run more BS because it clears the UCA,so I dont think I will have a problem, can anyone confirm this? |
