There are uni-lug wheels that have oval bolt holes, but unless the wheels are made this way, no. Also, most Chevy wheels aren't offset in far enough for an A body. For example, most 7" wide Chevy wheels have 3.5" of backspace while original Chrysler 15x7" wheels have 4 1/4" backspacing. That 3/4" makes a big difference on the tires you can use. |

Hmm, my 17x8" Mustang wheels have nearly 5 3/4" backspacing. They fit on the front of my '72 Swinger (with '73+ disc brakes) without a spacer. The back requires a spacer about 3/4-1" thick. I'm using a different rear axle so I don't have to use spacers. The wheels in question will likely rub on the front fenders, but would fit the back ok. One other thing. Lifting the back of the car will hurt the handling. |

so what i need to do is get a rear 3/4 spacer on my drums? becasue i was planning on cutting out my rear quarter wall in order to fit the well diameter. so, technically, wouldnt the spacer just cause more tight fitment on the panel? ________ Mercedes-benz 500e history ________ Medical cannabis seeds |

If you use the factory Ford +30mm offset wheels you need a 3/4" to 1" spacer. With an 8" wheel with 0 offset you will not need a spacer. 245/45R17 tires will fit a '73 Swinger without cutting anything if you use the right combination of axle width and wheel offset. |

You MUST get wheels with a 5 lug, 4 inch pattern. Anything else will quite literally, not fit over your lug studs. The back spacing can be determined and calculated, but it's irrelevant if the bolt pattern isn't right. Do NOT go the route of wheel adapters. They have a tendency to fail at the worst time, and are generally unsafe. Roger |

so if my wheels have a 5.75 backspacing they'll fit? and, how bad is the rear lifting, even if its only 2 inches? i just recently purchased a lift kit way cheap on ebay and was thinking of throwing it on. it'll be a daily driver, so whats the best way to go to lift up to 2 inches. ________ 220 ________ Zx14 Vs Hayabusa |
