How much clearance should I maintain arould the rear tire to avoid rubbing the quarter lip. Mearsuring for new wheels. Does the rearend move side to side that much? |

The rear moves and the tires deform. This much works for me ('64 Valiant rear): ![]() |

That works for me too. In my case that means 235/60/14. One finger means 245/60/14 and they rub with a heavy load (5 people and snowboarding gear) and hard cornering.( I live in the Land of Corners and Hills) But 6.50/13 never rubbed.....~~~~~ |
