Can I get respectable performance and daily useability out of my 77 dodge B-100 and it's /6 ?

I'm buying a super six manifold but I don't no what else to do.

It's a 3 speed w/ od I may change to an auto and power steering. It's hard to drive and slow. Engine is .030 over and fresh 16K on the rebuild.
I want this van to rock as best it can without droping in a 340 or something. I worship the driveway they leak on these /6 engines.

Thanks,
DJ

I would check and see what your rear ratio is, with the A-833 OD, I'd change to a set of 4.11's minimum to make sure the little engine can push that much weight. The super six will be a good upgrade to add toa better rear ratio.

Putting some work into the head plus some headers or dutra duels would go well with the super six package. That truck dont wieght as much as you would think. But if it is not geared right a good rear end gear can help alot also. I would try keep the stright drive tranny, it will get better MPG & have better power & response. But the gearing of the OD unit is not very good for performance, a stright 4 speed would be better.

If you have put some time into seting up the dizzy this could help alot also, but you might want to wait until other things are done before you do it so you dont have to do it two times. Or heck that is part of the fun, recurve the park advance now to work with what you have and whn yuo change things you may have to redo it the curve to work with what you have done.
