Post subject:  Handheld tachometer?

Can anyone recommend a handheld tachometer? Has anyone tried any of the multimeter-types such as the Kal-Equip versions? Just curious if anyone had one that they recommend before I buy something. Thanks guys!

Kal Equip, Sunpro, and Actron are all the same company now. Same products across the board just different badges essentially. You have to look for available features (least expensive-less features) I had a plain-jane Actron digital that was more than adequate for most any job. The better models of the line include useful, although, not essential functions like min/max readings, data memory, data hold, back-lit display, inductive pick up, auto range etc.
Look on the company website(s) for a full description of each model. As far as price goes, think like everything else- what you can afford -a bicycle and a mercedes will both get you from point A to point B its just a question of how much money you want to spend.
