my gas gauge moves between empty and half full while I'm driving, and won't go passed half even when the tank is full. I'm sure this problem has been discussed before, sorry I wasn't listening. Thanks for the help anyway..................Matt

It ain't gonna answer your question 100%, but it'll give you some info you need to know about the common culprit behind this issue.

My fuel gauge used to read full at half tank, empty at about 1/2. I replaced the fuel sender, float, ect in the gas tank. It turns out that wasn't the problem. Apparently it was the voltage limiter in the back of the dash. I replaced that, and the gas gauge and temp gauge worked for about two weeks.

One day my gauges pegged and that was it, the gauges died. I replaced the gas gauge with an aftermarket fuel gauge and it works good.
