Hey Harold, Where are you located? That would help determine who would be a good candidate to test fit them for you. It's good to see you post. Hope all is well with you. I bought a set of your headers for my '72 Dart with a 318. Looking forward to hearing how the progress goes with the Slant 6 headers. |

can someone explain "two step" headers? is that a 3 to 1 item or a change in collector type? |

Harold is in north west Arkansas. I was supposed to test fit them on my 66 Valiant and 66 Cuda. One with a 170 and one with a 225. But I have been too busy to be able to remove the manifolds/headers from the cars at this time, and Harold wants to start building them. Any volunteers? |

Harold, I would be happy to test fit those headers on my 66 Valiant racecar with 225 automatic. I could make some measurements to see if they will fit with a 170. I have a 170 block, but not in a car right now. I am located in Blacksburg, VA, zip is 24060. Let me know how we should proceed. I have various intake manifolds I can check fitment with too - stock, offy 4bbl, clifford 4bbl, weber side draught, offy 2X1... Thanks, Lou Madsen |

I have seen the other post, I think I understand what you mean.is that a 3 to 1 item or a change in collector type? are these just for early a bodies (60's) or later (70-76)? are they intended to be universal? mini or regular starter? high or low position? |

You Da Man Harold! I heard about Harold's Spitfire headers from a guy with a '65 Barracuda with a 360 in it. I saw it at a car show and was surprised to see nice fiiting headers on an early A body without cutting out the fenderwells. He makes a good product. And doesn't gouge you on the price like some other companies we all know. Thanks Harold! Really glad to see you back in action! |

Harold, sounds like you've got your test fitters here, so I won't pursue it any further. MJ |

front view of '71 Dart with A/C compressor: I may have a more helpful top / side view photo that shows proximity to manifolds more clearly (air cleaner removed)- |

Remember also the pre-'67 cars with A/C have the compressor mounted closer to the engine. |
