Post subject:  Nitrous

I have a clifford intake with alcohol injected by a manual pump and want to add nitrous to it. The intake still has bosses up next to the end of the intake that were not used so I was thinking that I could tap these for the nitrous nozzles. Dont know the first thing about what kind of mixture I will need but the person who built the engine told me not to add more than a 100 shot to it. The motor was orginally built for nitrous with good pistons and the proper rings. I have seen other slant six motors with nitrous but they all had a fuel rail. Is what I am thinking about a bad idea over a fuel rail. Just trying to get a little more horsepower before next season and need all the help I can get since my motor has too much compression for a turbo or supercharger.

Adding a 100 HP shot of Nitrous to your combo should knock at least 1/2 a second of the 1/4 mile ET.

Using individual "fogger" nozzles is the way to go but it costs a bit more.
Look at a V8 kit, the package can be cheaper then individual parts and having a couple of extra nozzles won't hurt.

Get the NOS kit and do some measuring of the nozzle tip, you want to drill & tap a hole that gets the nozzle into the runner but not in too deep where it blocks flow.
On a Clifford intake with EFI bosses, you will want to stay to the thinner side of the boss. Measure before drilling.

Bending all the hard lines and mounting the silonodes takes some time.
Having a dedicated fuel source with an adjustable regulator is a good idea and worth the extra cost.
Keep your eyes open for an extra bottle.
