I've read that Magnecor wires are highly recommended,
I've searched their website and vendors that supply their products...

It seems the KV-85 / 8.5mm part #6508 is the correct application for
the /6, at approx. $55 a set...(?)

Does this sound correct to those of you who are using these wires?
If so, does any one have a source they could recommend?

I'm using the #6008 7 mm, but if you want a heavier wire, I think you are refering to the right one.

According to Magnecor's catalog, the 6008 is 8mm; the 7mm is 6708 and the 8.5mm is 6508. I believe you can buy them directly from Magnecor. The website is http://www.magnecor.com
