You know... those used on A-bodies, not the B-body "gull-wing".
I bought a repro from Dante's Auto Parts for Aaron's Christmas gift. It was supplied by First Place Auto Products.

I need to know what the final finish looks like on an original spoiler. This one has a VERY rough surface, what I would call extreme orange peel, or pitted, or stippled, or dimpled, etc. If that is what OEM looked like, that's fine (I prefer not to have to smooth and paint). Please, no "accurate reproductions", just OEM. I want to get close to the source.

Any close-up pics would be appreciated,
Jerry

As far as I know and have sen here in Mexico, the gull-wing got a clean and smooth surface and details, ready to paint or leave flat black.

I will try to adquire some pics of mounted gull-wings and post them.

Not that I know there would be a difference, but I am looking for the go-wing, not gull-wing. They might have been constructed by the same company, for all I know. I appreciate any help tracking down pics, but please make sure they are from an original, not an aftermarket.

Well, at least here in Mexico there was a small differience, the Go-Wing was a one pieze spoiler, while Gull-Wing, is adjustable degree, from there, they are identical, meaby this link can help you ´74 Sport.

By the way, I envy you with all my soul, It seems that is impossible to get a shark tooth grill and go/gull-wing here. And I want a go/gull-wing!!!!!

Juan, (it is Juan, isn't it?) thanks for the link to the article. I had seen that a couple of months ago and could not find it again. That's the same style "go-wing" I bought for Aaron. The "gull-wing" outer tips sweep backwards. As in the article, mine has the same mounting pedestals, and they are adjustable for getting the correct angle. I'm waiting for the correct under-deck brackets to be shipped to me, then I'll see how they mount without having benefit of the cut-outs he made in his deck lid. I want to avoid doing that, since we have a new paint job, and I don't want gaping holes under there. I'm creative enough to be able to come up with something I think will provide adequate support, but I'm hoping I won't have to resort to that.

I'm still facing the issue of not knowing what the spoiler's finished surface should look like. I would have thought someone in these hundreds of members here would have an original go-wing to compare ours to. I'll keep searching.

Don´t know who was the first to put the link, I just found it this day (also my name is Ernesto), but the finish surface of the wing is smooth, painted or not.

Again, as far I had seen over here and some pics.
