ok don't start flippin about overkill yet, i'm only curious. i'm wondering if anyone has used the magnum force front suspension system on a slant six car i only ask because i was looking back trying to find info about Discovery's wrecks to riches car- the 1969 hemi "poison" dart (one of the guys from poison actually installed the suspension). it was a really cool looking setup. just curious. check out the system: http://www.magnumforce.com/store/detail ... rch=&Page= just don't look at the price, it'll make you sad |

I remember seeing discussions about this before, and I believe the consensus was that this isn't a good idea for a street car because it may not be able to handle the abuse of daily driving, smacking curbs, etc. Just by looking at it - I believe it will also require upper shock bracing so they an handle the weight of the car due to the coilovers, as it uses the stock upper shock mount. Many have raved about the Alterkation - https://www.reillymotorsports.com Haven't heard anything bad about it yet. Other then the price... |

Both these are basically Mastang II suspensions. The only advantage I can see for a street car is the rack and pinion steering and even that I'm not sure about. For the cost of one of these contraptions complete with brakes and sway bar you rebuild an entire car; they are well north of $4000.00 as I recall. They are popular with the quicky rebuild crowd because they are a bolt in unit and can be installed in a couple of hours. I prefer the stock stuff personally. |

rack and pinion was kinda what struck my attention... and yeah i would say they are popular with the quick rebuild crowd (the show i saw it on did the build in just under a month i think) still looks cool tho.. |

i just looked through the stuff on the alterktion from reilly- after reading some posts on another site, it seems like bill reilly knows what's up with this system...i hear only praise (and although the price is the same, the alterk includes brakes, unlike the magnum force) |

It's still $3500.00 and no motor mount option for a slant. |
