You can use the 225 crank and rods and make a 225.
To use 198 rods you need 2.2, VW, or custom pistons.

198 rod is 7.006" 225 rod is 6.699" Piston is the same on all slant-6s. Use a stock piston with a 198 rod on a 225 crank and the piston will run into the cylinder head. You have to use a piston with a higher pin bore to run 198 rods on a 225 crank. |
