I know that in a slant the oil gets to the lifters via the rocker arms and the hollow pushrods. Does the 318, 440 or any other mopar v8's oil this way? Do the hydraulic lifters interchange from any engine to a slant6?

The Mopar v8s oil the lifters directly from the oil galleries. Each lifter bore cuts into the side of the gallery, and the lifter is pressurized through a hole and groove in the side of the lifter. The lifters used in the v8s don't have oil feed-holes in the pushrod cups, so they can't be used in a hydraulic lifter slant-6, even if the lifter diameter and height were the same (maybe they are, I don't know). They oil the rocker train through the rocker shaft, independent of the lifters.

The 92-up "Magnum" versions of the 318 and 360 used stud-mounted rockers (AMC design) and oil the rockers through the pushrods (Ford/Chevy/AMC style), but they use roller cams. One trick that is done to put Magnum heads on flat-cam 318 and 360s is to use AMC v8 lifters, which have the feed hole in the pushrod cup and are the same height/diameter as Mopar smallblock flat lifters.

The lifters are the same diameter on the v-8s. I have thought about possibly drilling and plumbing the lifter bores from the outside of the block, using v-8 lifters, custom or cut to length pushrods and keeping the adjustable rockers. Then getting a modern custom hydraulic profile. I have not really checked this out much. The real issue would be around the distributor and fuel pump, otherwise it is a straight shot to the other lifter bores from the outside of the block.
