OK - let's give this guy the benefit of the doubt and assume his asking price is a mistake.

But for reals, did they build Darts in Brazil? I always thought it was Canada and the U.S. only. If so, did they have any significantly different designed parts that can bolt into a U.S. version (speedo, seats, carbs, emblems or anything else?)

His price probably isn't an error. The car's still in Brazil; it'll take a ton of cash to get it to North America. My guess is he's trying to see if there's a market for importing Brazilian Darts to North America.

Yes, they built Darts in Brazil, and yes, with the exception of major sheetmetal parts, most of the parts were locally-sourced in Brazil, and unique to the Brazilian-made cars. Some of these Brazilian parts will bolt into a North American car, and some will not. The owner of a Brazilian Dart in North America would find himself stymied again and again trying to install repair parts in the brake system, rear axle, transmission in some cases, engine, cooling system, A/C system and electrical system.

You can see a lot of Brazilian Darts and parts for sale on Brazil's eBay site, www.mercadolivre.com.br (search Dart).

You can
