news update:

car is been preped for spray job. Body has a little bondo on it (whole body, about 2 pounds of bondo, I'd call that a good metalwork, especially having "patchwork" on some rusty areas)

finished inside the car scraping, rustproofing and re-sealing (I removed the old beam sealer and installed new poliurethane sealer over a good layer of anti-rust marine duty stuff....)

All the interior is going to get reupholstered, and I have yet to make a console that would fit nicely with the BMW buckets I'm using on the front.

I'll finish scraping and re-rustproofing the undercarriage once I get around reinforcing the chassis (I'll weld connectors between the front and rear subframes)

prepping for the real deal, the spray job.

this would be 2 component primer, 6 layers of paint (baked) and then 2 thick layers of 2 components laquer.
