What heater cores will fit a '64 Valiant (non-AC)?
There's some coolant seeping from my heater box, so it's time to replace it again. I guess 20 years is a fair working life.
Rock Auto shows the Four Seasons 94503.
What years use the same, or one that will fit? That is, which years that will be in the parts computers?
Any part numbers would be appreciated. I'm already seeing variation in prices - $30 to $80.

'63-'72 A-body cores will all interchange for you. If you can't find something you like using your '64 model year, search for one for a '72. Cores with and without A/C are the same in these years. The '70-'72 cores have a 1/2" inlet and 5/8" outliet rather than a 5/8" inlet and outlet pipe, but that's the only difference.

I seem to recall, a discussion, about a year ago. Where the tubes on the replacement cores are not spaced correctly. My local part store carries the "Ready-air" brand of heater cores. I ordered one and it will be here this after noon. The part number is 399104. I have a oem core on the shelf, and can compare them, to see if the replacement will fit.

I saw that while searching the forum. I'm concerned whenever buying parts these days that many parts suppliers decide that one part will replace many.

NAPA didn't answer the phone.
Oh, Really? Auto Parts claims to have one for $30.
Sadvance wants $78.
Haven't tried AutoStoned.

Went down to Advance auto parts this morning. Matched up with my 65 heater core. Their number Ready-air 399104 looks fine. Price $32.96
