You have to call the Cox Brothers they used to offer a set of really nice after market rods...

Do a search for their number on the board.

I am close to 400 horse on the hose. I have killed pistons, but no rods yet. I run the 7" 198 rods too.

Spend your money elsewhere and just get your stock rods rebuilt with good bolts. They should have no problems at 300HP, unless you get happy and rev too high.

THANKS slantzilla and dart270 I have two sets of 225 rods wow the price for after market is nuts I am using good set of TURBO pistons and rings .Drilled rods and crank oil journals and re-sized rods now with ARP bolts RE-balancing of this unit will depend on clearances.I will let you know if I have to do this. Thanks again (MORE INPUT!!!)

Don't understand, how rebalancing, depends on clearances. If you are using different pistons and rods, I highly reccommend you balance the rotating assy. If this is a "race" engine, in my opinion, it is required.

Hi Charrlie thanks for yourt input I cant seem to get enough. This is what my machine shop told me.But he was the one who told me we may have to have it re-balanced.Oh using the same rods but different pistons.

It never hurts to balance the engine. It it highly reccommended if you change the pistons. They could be a different weight, then what was in there.
PS: Come up for a visit sometime. We can do some bench racing. I'm not a big distance from you.

Yep, that's bench racing, except it normally it also is fueled by a twelve pack.
