i ran twice at cecil county dragway, rising sun MD with my 80 cordoba. all stock except for k&n filter, open rear with 2.76 ran 19.6 at 71 mph. now thats a fast car! lol but i felt better cause there were a few rice burners who were runnin in the low 20s, didnt even break the speed limit on95! lol unfourtunatly i didnt race them. i got pitted against some honda and a newer *98 i think* dakota r/t 360. yeah, that was REAL fair. also like an idiot i had a full tank of gas, and a very bad runnin carb. matter of fact it was the origanal carb, that i replaced three weeks later and when ipicke dit up, it fell apart in my hands!! and i was driving my car the entire time like that, not knowin that the carb was in such bad shape. it literaly fell apart in half. that was wild. and with bad timing and all previously mentioned, i still got mid 19s. i dont think that was too bad at all, considering the cercumstances. cant wait to run it at the end of this summer. when the 4 speed goes in, the 8 3/4 rear with 3.55s and all the motor work is done. |
