I got mine from a 73 duster ,,2.76 is what was in it,also have seen 2.93 in older ( 67 ) darts. Very rare will you find 3.23. It also depends on what part of the country. Years ago I worked in a dealership and the owner always ordered deeper gears because of hilly terrain where we lived. I would bet 2.76 is what ya got. |

Yep, automatics in the '70's normally had 2.76 gears in the rear. My 3 speed manual '66 had 3.23's. If you look at the cover bolts you may find the ratio tag still in place. |

Check Ebay. Last nite there was a set of that ratio with a Sure grip, relatively cheap for an 8-1/4, Im sure that you can find them there for a 7-1/4 if youre not in too big a hurry, for a good price, otherwise Ive had good service from Randys Ring&Pinion. GAVE away 2 7-1/4s and scrapped a 3rd about a yr ago because no one wanted them. all were 2.76/opens |

Back before I found this board I gave a LBP, 3.23, suregrip 7 1/4 to the junkyard cause I couldn't sell it locally. |
