Are all '81 225 crankshafts reemed for a pilot bushing ?

The clutch in my '64 Valiant with '81 225 blew. Upon disassembly I found that there was no pilot bushing. The pilot hole seems to be pretty rough but that might be from the wear from the input shaft.

I have had this car for four years, I've always driven it easy. A week ago I had trouble getting first gear without grinding. Yesterday I found that all the springs were busted out of the clutch disk and the center spline finally broke away. Until last week the three speed shifted fine. I can't imagine why the PO would have not installed a pilot bushing.

Does not NAPA sell a special undersize bushing that I could use w/o taking the crankshaft in for work ? I slammed in a new pilot bearing but it was tight and I have trouble getting the transmission input shaft to seat the final 1/3 inch.

Yes, NAPA does have a bushing for the unfinished hole.

Or, you can get a roller bearing for a V-6/8 Dakota and use it.

I used the OEM bronze bushing.

Now, a few weeks later the transmission grinds when shifting as if the clutch is not disengaging. I can double clutch. This is the A-230 3 speed. Both rear wheels spin in neutral when I lift the rear of the car off the ground. A slight hand pressure will stop the wheels. When I shift while ascending a grade the transmission clunks hard.

The clutch fork has a broken clip that locates the pivot. Does anyone have one they can send me ?
