I'm trying to figure out what tools I need to remove the fill plug from my diff. I think it is a 7 1/4. I'm used to using a 1/2" extension to remove the plug, but this looks like some kind of Torx bit or something. |

Yes, the 1/2 square should do the job. Call it an "8 point" socket, basically two, 1/2 squares shapes, off-set and super-imposed on each other. |

Doh! I *knew* I should have taken my tools under there and tried it. I suppose that's what I get for my laziness. Black soup has been drained out and full synthetic 85w/140 has been filled... Thanks... |
