Hey i got an electrical problem sumwhere...well atleast i think its an electrical problem...for sum reason"just recently" my lights will dim ALOT when i stop an idle and then when i take off they get bright again I replaced the altenator, battery, battery cables, and sum wires that were burnt but it still seems to do it...i am stumped anyone got an idea of what it might be? :shrug: |

Well if your car is a manual i think i know what the problem is, as i went through this in my pickup. Everytime i push the clutch in the lights got brighter, BECAUSE my chassis was not grounded, thus when i pushed in my clutch, it created a stronger ground to my dash. Perhaps your situation is somewhat the same...i would check all my grounds and make sure your chassis and body are grounded. |

Mine is an automatic..but i do see similar results when i tap the brake. Thanks ill take a look at all the grounds this weekend! |

Also check to see how well it is charging. Take a multimeter while the engine is idling and check the voltage on the battery. It should read right around 14.3 volts at the battery. |
