I'm going to the All-Chrysler event at the Carlisle, Pa. fairgrounds on July 6th, 2007. The event is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. www.carsatcarlisle.com
Anyone else going? Anyone been before? I see they are having a Chrysler Convertible Reunion. That might be fun.

Been years ago, can't wait to get back.

Most car shows have one or two Superbirds... I distinctly remember Carlisle having about 25 Superbirds and Daytonas lined up in row!

The Spring and Fall Carlisle events (all makes) are good as well.

You'll have a blast. But it's usually hotter than blazes there in July.

Have fun, maybe I'll see you there.

I have been to the last 3 in a row. It is definately hot at that time of year. There are usually a few slant six goodies there in the swap meet 3 years ago I found my headers there 2 years ago I got my 4bbl intake. This year I will be looking for either parts to finish my 833od swap or power to manual steering or disk brake swap or....

Danm Pat you post this stuff early!

Anyway I will be there with the Dart - I will throw in the O/D box for the 180 Mile trip And get some Sweet MPG's on the way.

Brian Droschack and His wife Melisssa will probably be there with at least 1 Dart if not more.

I Still would like to get a Slant Six Class or even a Club tent for the Slant Six.org users to Congregate at.

I had spoke to the event cordinators for the Chryslers @ carlisle show a few times and they were not thrilled about the idea of a slant powered car to have it' sown class...

Maybe if a few of you folks that plan on attending the show voice your opinions too, we can get a dialouge going with the folks there.

Phil you had Shared some thoughts on this idea a while back, Do you think it's worth it?

I know you have to have X Number of cars pre - registered from your club etc.
I will check it out on their site too.

I would like to see a few of the Va / MD / and carolina folks come for the weeked if they can.

Like you said Greg we need to have enough slanters to call and preregister.
Maybe we just need to do an impromptu slant get together. The only day they really want you to be in your class is for judging on Saturday. We should find an area that a lot of cars have not returned on Sunday and just gather ourselves together. How many of us could there be?

I'm sure if we get enough cars we could get the club tent like we talked about last year.

Well, at least we've got some time to formulate a plan. I've been to the Spring and Fall, but not for a few years. I'd like to take my Valiant but I'm concerned about leaving it out in one of the off-site lots. If we had a group and a place inside the show, I'd go for that. If other Slanters are going I definitely want to bring my Mopar. It's a huge place, though I don't know if it as crowded as the Spring/Fall shows. You really can't see everything in those big shows in one day.

Pat it is not as big as the spring or fall shows and the Cars Park inside the Grounds for the Show - About half the Spaces are used for swap anf the other for the show cars - Like some else said you can see 25 superbirds lined up then 25 Daytonas too.

I always have folks stop and talk to me about my car - I feel if we got the Official Pre registered stuff taken care of it would make for more awareness rather than just an improptu plan on sunday.

I do however like the sunday slant gathering if all else fails, and as Pat had said, there is plenty of lead in time here to get things stirred up.

Been going for years, always a great time, had several cars in the T building. Got my 80 Volare' slanter wagon there and drove it back to Vegas THAT was fun, (in the good fun) . A gal named Lisa could have hooked us up with a spot but alas she no longer works there. She was in charge of everything, If you are serious pm me and I'll see what may be done. A firm head count would be a plus.

There have been strong showings at Pittsburgh for racing so there is no reason why this event can't draw-in some Slanters.
It is all about setting-up and promoting the event so everyone knows about it, well in advance.

Yeh I have been going there for the last 6 yrs. and the last 3 yrs with my dart. Met Gregg there and his car. Both are nice (HAHA)

Even if you don't have what you might consider a trophy car, bring it anyway. Your entry will get the car and (?)2 people in with a great parking spot. On the field, and should you purchase anything you won't have to carry it a mile to get it back to your vehicle.

85+ acres. You won't see it all in one day thats for sure.

I will be there again with mine for 2007
Hope to meet up with a few of you too.

** Hint**

Try and get one of the BBQ's from the place that makes them out of the front end of an old Chevy The food was delicious
