Well, the question is in the subject, simple as that. I got a 1970 duster and I dont think they have ever been replaced.

Is your 1970 Duster a Federal/Canada or California-emission vehicle? It matters with regard to the breather!

PCV valves & grommets, breather grommets, and Federal/Canada breathers are available at any good parts store. California '70 and Federal/Canada/California '71 breathers are not available at any parts store; I think there may be some expensive reproductions available. The valve cover or a standard breather can be specially modified to work on a '70 California or '71 Fed/Can/Cal car.

Sorry, I was a bit short. The car was imported to Sweden a looong time ago, and I dont fully know it's history yet unfortunatley. We do have strict enviroment rules here and it is of course registred here and legal, if that would be any help.

Ah, that might make things a little tougher, since it will be harder for you to get these parts at a local parts store. If you'll open the hood and take a good, clear picture of the data plate, or at least carefully transcribe it for us here, we'll be able to tell which emission package your car has. Then you can order the correct parts from www.rockauto.com and they will ship to you in Sweden.

The data plate looks like this:

Thank you. I will do this! Heading over to where I keep the car during the winter next week. Springtime is here, but I'm sure we'll get snow atleast one more time :) So I wanted to get it ready for the road meanwhile.

That was a really good site you linked there. We do have shops here, but they are more v8 oriented, so it's nice to have a source like that page.

Regards
Robert

As I wrote the last entry it has now started snowing here in Stockholm. I knew it, the last week has been so "springish" you would think summer is just behind the door.

Years ago I got a breather/filter for my 71 cali car dealer direct with a part #. Lets see what you have and if need be might be able to find the parts here and ship them to ya if available locally.

Will one of thoose do? I see they have the pcv valve there also.

My duster was imported from the US some 25 years ago, but I'm not sure from where in the US at this point.

If your car is a non-California model, either of these will work, but instead you should get the Wix 42997 (don't see it in this list, but RockAuto has it in stock), which is of better quality than the Fram.
