before I pull the floatbowl, can I use Holley 4bbl jets ? or are they different? I just got a "remanufactured" 1920 from Kragen which seems like its running lean. |

Just read another post.I guess the 1920 uses the same jets as 4bbls.Can I get a float bowl gasket from the parts store without buying the whole rebuild kit? Autozone? Kragen? |

Usually it is much faster and easier to buy the complete kit. DD |

Just a warning based on my experiences. 1920's "should" have jets the same size as 4bbl carbs, BUT some of the reconditioned 1920's have jets that are a larger diameter than the 4bbl jets. I dont know what they match up to. I have around 5 1920's in pieces and 2 of the recoed ones have larger diameter jets. I am not running them. Here is a crappy pic - but it shows a 4bbl ones of the left and the larger one on the right. If you do end up with a larger one, I have 2 of them so let me know and I will check the sizes. ![]() cheers ricki |

Easier to buy the rebuild kits but they add up quick even you are only after few parts in that kit. Now I have left over parts of *four* rebuild kits. :p Just did 3rd time for tuning and replace float (just in case!). I'm finally getting better MPG from horrible holley 5220 carb on 2.2 in my caravan. Cheers, Wizard |

My 1920 "remanufactured" had 53 jets,no wonder it was running lean.I had a 60 from a 4bbl that fit and now it runs sweet.BUT,why is it that I have no vacuum pull from the distributor spout on the side of the carb? The gasket has the hole matched up to the hole in the manifold under the carb. |

You should see little or no vacuum to the distributor can at idle. When you come off idle you should start to see some vacuum.
